Born, Longview, Texas. B.A. in English/Speech, St. Mary's U., San Antonio, Texas. Ph. D. in Renaissance English literature from NYU.  Dissertation Topic: Renaissance English Travel Literature as Genre.  Fifty years of teaching high school and college English; currently forty years as Adjunct Full Professor at NCC.  Married for forty-six years to Christina; three children--Michael, Loretta, Leslie--and three grandchildren: (ages as of 9/01/08) Clayton William  10);  Lily Christina  8);  Henry Charles (4).
